Here's the official stuff about me:

Joanna D'Angelo creates stylish and striking book promo videos for authors and book publishers as well digital advertising campaigns, Amazon advertising services, website design and management, and book production management.

Here's the fun stuff about me:

I grew up in the 1980s so my cultural touchstones flow from there. I love Duran Duran, David Bowie, Prince,

Madonna (cuz '80s) and so many others.

My favourite Hollywood classic movie is All About Eve (The Phildelphia Story, Casablanca, and On the Waterfront are up there too). Run Lola Run  is my favourite indie movie and Cinema Paradiso is my favourite movie of all time. And finally, Seinfeld is my favorite TV show of all time (in my opinion the best TV comedy show of all time).

I love chamomile tea, matcha, (basically any tea), eggplant parmigiana, retro 1950s eyewear, toques (I'm Canadian). My favourite season is autumn (sweater weather!).

My background is Italian and I am the daughter of immigrants and proud to be so.

I love a splendid opening sentence, characters I wish were my friends in real life, a freakin' amazing plot twist, and a story that stays with me for days.

Now for the "biz" stuff:

I have a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) and completed MA graduate work in the field of Canadian Cultural Studies with a specialty in film. 

I’ve worked in print, broadcast radio, TV, and film, and was a movie critic for CBC Radio Canada.

An avid reader of romance novels since I was a teenager, I fulfilled one of my dreams when I made the documentary Who’s Afraid of Happy Endings? (2006) (executive producer GAPC Entertainment). The film explores the world of romance fiction and features many of the top romance authors talking about their work.

The documentary has aired on Bravo! Canada and has been broadcast around the world. It is now available for on amazon.com.

I was Editor in Chief at Lachesis Publishing for six years before launching my own biz.

​

I'm a life-long learner and over the years have expanded my knowledge, skills, and abilities in Excel and MS Word as well as various e-commerce, website, and design platforms including Shopify, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace, Canva Pro, Promo, Adobe, Mailerlite, Mailchimp, and more.
